Taken Away by Nerds to Sunshine Coast

August 4th, 2010

Hello everybody from Sechelt British Columbia, its very nice and beautiful here.  I’m working on A LARPer’s Love Story, not as an actor, I don’t know why everyone asks me if I’m acting, even though this film is about nerds, I’m nerd-ing it out in the camera department, I’ve taken on the big roll as Director of Photography, hmm, has a nice ring to it. Join me on the radio show to hear where I am, and what I’m doing, all the crazy stories. Like how in Alberta I saw rode a horse, saw a tornado start to form, almost died from bulls, got hailed on, saw the stampede, total adventure, and the Sunshine Coast looks like lots of adventures here.

Hello From the Road

July 19th, 2010

As promised on my radio show, I’d write a blog and keep an update on my trip. I’m working on a documentary on rodeo riders, such a unique experience. Tonight is the first night I’ve had a chance to sit down and write, and get an internet conection. You know the hotel wants $15 to use their internet, ya, I’d rather find free wi-fi, but I didn’t get that far.

Monday July 19, 2010 I’m in Fort McCloud, I discovered they shot Brokeback Mountain here. I leave Wednesay, hopfully I’ll get a chance to take a peak at the city. The past few days I was at the Calgary Stampede documenting chuckwagon drivers, and hanging out with the cowboys.

I promise to upload some pictures very soon, I just uploaded them to my laptop, hopfully tomorrow I’ll be able to do it.

I Hate Computers!

April 23rd, 2010

Computers are such a beautiful thing when they work, yet as soon as they start messing around, I hate them. I want to throw it out of the window and watch it smash into a million little pieces, guess this is how they came up with the name, ‘Windows.’  Other than the week being nothing but delays due to computers, the weather has been nice.  I haven’t had a chance to go to the gym, hang out with friends, eat awesome food all because of slow computers.  In fact the video I had promised will be a little bit delayed due to yet again, a slow computer that didn’t meet the deadline for the web designer to upload it to the website. It will be there, I promise.

JoeOnAir.com – Confident Early Spring & Interview with Brock Zanrosso

April 16th, 2010

I’m loving the warmer weather, cherry blossoms are making me happy. I’m going to be taking my first vacation of the year, my destination even though its a short ferry ride away, its a start, me and my best friends will taking this exciting trip.

This weeks show, I had talked about iPad vs. WePad, do you think you would buy either? WePad is made from Neofonie, I don’t think I’d trust a company with the name that sounds like phony.

I had a chance to interview Brock Zanrosso, I can’t say enough great things about this 16 year old. Actor and now singer has came out with his new single Push the Walls and its really stuck in my head.  In the interview Brock talks about YTV’s ‘Next Star.’ His new single and career. He won Richmond’s Most Interesting People Award and is a straight A student. Back when I was 16, I had my first job at a TV station, and I slacked off alot in school, I was always thinking about what I was going to produce next for the TV station. Although I was paying enough attention to do well on tests, which is probably how I passed high school and have continuous spelling errors.

A video I found on YouTube.com with Brock talking about his career and music.  Take a peak. I’ll be posting the interview I did with Brock on JoeOnAir.com very soon. I promise.

Not Reccomended to Get Sick

April 7th, 2010

Last few weeks I have been sick, although this week I have been better, so that’s good. So the Launch of the new Top40 Countdown show has been added stress, hopefully it will be big success.

My question this week, would you buy the iPad? studio@joeonair.com. UK: 020 8144 0804 CAN: 604 725 8847

Last weeks question, embarassing mom stories, everyone has them. The most embarrassing one I heard was a guy walked into a room where his mom and girlfriend we’re looking at baby pictures. Then his mom showed a naked one, and said look how small his penis is. Now that’s embarrassing. Thanks everyone for e-mailing me all your funny stories.

August Lady GaGa comes to Vancouver, and I’ve got tickets, me and Julian are counting down the days, and Gaga Tosis has taken me over, sing it, ga ga ooo la la!

It’s Winding Down

February 28th, 2010

After spending all my energy during the games, it’s been nuts.  Watching Winter Olympics on TV, checking out some of the free events and seeing all the spirits high with patriotism, how do I describe it? I’ve never felt anything like it before. Even though the weather was awful, everyone had fun. When Canada won gold in men’s hockey, t hat’s when the excitment grew and the entire downtwon core of Vancouver was filled with screaming and cheering crowds, tens of thousands of people.

Take a look at my video I had shot, bit of technical difficulties as it looks squished, editors are working on a new version. But with limited time we managed to squeeze into a few places.

Olympic Fever

February 17th, 2010

It’s finally here in Vancouver. From a memory way back when it was first announced it was coming to Vancouver and then all the progress, it actually touched me that the Olympic clock finally counted down to its final seconds, lighting of the torch and all the fun celebrations going on.  I’m neutral of the even its self, but being in the middle of it, its addicting.  I have never seen much Canadian patriotism. Canadian’s are so humble and polite.  The feel of Vancouver is different that what I remember it was before, so much more fun these days.

Gaga Video Inteview with Naya

January 15th, 2010

My biggest New Years resolution is to interview Lady Gaga; this will be BIG for me! I’ll probably be nervous, stupid and gaga for Gaga. My friend Kevin sent me this video with Naya doing a capella version of Lady Gaga’s songs.  I later went to bed and kept hearing in my head that song over and over and over, so not being able to sleep, I had to send Naya a message and actually sat down phoned her. Below is the video she produced, check it out! Her voice is smooth as baileys on ice and talk about perfect timing.
